Kids Help Phone connects Indigenous texters with Indigenous crisis responders

Indigenous youth and adults can now connect with First Nations, Inuit and Metis crisis repsonders when available through a new Kids Help Phone initiative.

To connect with a responder, simply text "First Nations" "Inuit" or "Metis" to

If a responder from your nation isn't available, you will be transferred to another Indigenous responder.

No data plan, internet connection or app is necessary, making it ideal for rural and remote communities where unreliable internet connections and limited data plans may be barriers.
