Youth Care Practitioners - Healing Homes

Macdonald Youth Services requires experienced Youth Care Practitioners (YCPs) within our level four and level five healing homes. YCPs are responsible to provide care and specialized treatment for the youth. YCPs ensure that programming is provided for the youth within the policies and treatment philosophy of MYS. All responsibilities regarding our youth are carried out within a youth-centered, relationship-based strengths framework that promotes the cultivation and mobilization of youth strengths, potentials, and capacity for growth.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES: of the YCP include, but are not limited to:


SALARY RANGE: $15.00 per hour for casual. $26,160 to $38,400 (depending on qualifications and position hired for) per annum for all other positions. MYS offers a competitive benefit package and pension plan for those positions that qualify. Salary will be prorated for part-time and term positions.

HOURS OF WORK: Varies depending on which position hired for. Successful applicants will be required to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
